Title: VP / SVP / Director; Financial Reporting

Firm: Alternative Investment Manager

Location: Greenwich, Connecticut (on-site)


The hire will contribute to the production, automation, and continuous improvement of reporting processes. This role requires close collaboration with software developers to scope, test, and implement tools, while maintaining oversight of recurring reporting packages. This hire will partner with NAV, Trade Support, and stakeholders across the firm to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency as the firm's portfolios evolve.


Role:

This hire will join the reporting vertical within the Fund Accounting team. This team manages all reporting of fund information beyond core NAV and financial statements, including:

  • Investor and consultant reporting
  • Investment performance
  • Regulatory filings and compliance monitoring
  • Bespoke and recurring data feeds
  • Reporting in support of marketing, treasury, and senior management


Responsibilities:

  • Produce and review recurring investor, performance, and regulatory reports.
  • Partner with developers to scope, build, and deploy new reporting tools and improve existing ones.
  • Translate business requirements into consistent reporting logic, creating scalable dataset design and related management workflows to support consistency across reporting.
  • Collaborate with NAV and fund administrators to ensure proper data flow and accuracy.
  • Lead efforts to transition production of certain investor and regulatory reports from the firm to fund administrator.
  • Respond to ad hoc and bespoke reporting requests from senior management, investors, and consultants.
  • Develop expertise in the firm's data infrastructure to support forward-looking projection and scenario modeling.


Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or reporting roles within asset management or related financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and dataset structures.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, formulas auditing, scalable workbook design).
  • Understanding of the full financial statement process (GL through to final statements).
  • Demonstrated passion for process improvement, automation, and data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders at all levels.


Preferred Skills:

  • CPA license or progress toward certification.
  • Technical skills: VBA, SQL, and/or Python.
  • Experience with Geneva or similar investment-centric GL system.
  • Experience with Databricks, Sigma, Tableau or similar data and BI tools.
  • Direct financial statement preparation experience.
  • Experience building projection/scenario models.
  • Bloomberg Terminal proficiency.
