Title: Credit Investment Associate
Firm: NYC AIA with $7+ billion in AUM
Location: 5 days per week in-office in NYC
Compensation: $150-200k salary + discretionary bonus
Responsibilities:
- Generate new investment ideas, conducting in-depth analysis, and developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models for new and existing corporate investments, such as bank loans, bonds, preferred stock, and common equity
- Provide data-driven insights and fundamental analysis related to the firm's corporate liquid investments, including opportunistic deployments in corporate credit
- Contribute to the management of capital for opportunistic credit strategies within hedge fund
- Support portfolio transitions, collaborating on leveraged strategies, and assisting with the evolution of day-to-day trading operations
- Conduct quantitative analysis while applying creative problem-solving to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, particularly in corporate credit

Qualifications
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a quantitative orientation balanced by creative thinking and the ability to make qualitative assements
- Experienced in market research and data analysis, with sector expertise in alternative financials (e.g., BDCs, REITs, alternative consumer lenders) strongly preferred; must possess knowledge of credit and equities, including basic familiarity with asset-backed securities (ABS); flexibility to operate as a generalist is strongly preferred
- Experience investing in stressed and distressed securities is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as excellent communication and presentation skills are essential
- Relevant experience in the investment industry of 3 to 7 years
- Trading experience in corporate credit and equities is desirable
