  • Develop and execute recovery strategies, including restructurings, litigation pathways, and negotiated outcomes
  • Oversee and execute DIP financing opportunities, including underwriting, structuring, and ongoing management
  • Partner with investment teams to evaluate and deploy capital into distressed, special situations, and opportunistic credit investments
  • Support the build-out and scaling of a dedicated DIP lending and opportunistic credit strategy
  • Identify early warning signals within the portfolio and proactively intervene in underperforming investments
  • Manage and coordinate external counsel, advisors, and restructuring stakeholders
  • Provide strategic input on deal structuring to mitigate downside risk and improve recovery outcomes

Representative Scope

  • Leading creditor strategy and recovery efforts in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings
  • Evaluating and executing DIP loans and rescue financings in complex situations
  • Supporting investments that encounter distress and require legal or restructuring-driven solutions
  • Advising on multi-asset, multi-strategy exposures where legal and financial risks intersect

Qualifications

  • JD preferred
  • ~8–15+ years of experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, or distressed/special situations investing
  • Background in a top-tier law firm (restructuring/bankruptcy) and/or an investment platform focused on distressed credit
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. bankruptcy law, creditor rights, and restructuring processes (Chapter 11 and out-of-court)
  • Direct experience with DIP financings, creditor negotiations, and complex restructurings
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to bridge legal and investment perspectives
  • Proven ability to lead high-stakes, complex situations with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across multiple asset classes or investment strategies
  • Familiarity with legal assets, structured opportunities, or litigation-related investing
  • Interest in building or scaling new investment strategies, including opportunistic or DIP-focused funds

Location & Structure
